Two kinds of chlorine
The disinfection of the swimming pool water is done with chorine.
There are 2 kinds of chlorine. Do you have to use both? Yes!
The first kind is fast-acting chlorine (Chlorifix). You use this chlorine at the start-up of your pool, before you leave on a trip or when your chlorine needs to be raised quickly.
This chlorine is in the form of powder, granulate. You should never throw the granules directly into the water, because if you do, you will get white spots at the bottom of the pool.
What to do then? Take a bucket of pool water and add the right amount of fast chlorine into the bucket. When the chlorine is completely dissolved in the bucket, you can add the water with the dissolved fast chlorine to the pool water.
First bring the chlorine level up to the required level with the fast chlorine and then switch to lang acting chlorine.
When the chlorine level is reached, switch to long-acting chlorine (chlorilong). Long-acting chlorine is available in tablets. You should never throw the tablets directly into the water. If you do, you will get white spots on the bottom of the pool. Put the tablet(s) in the skimmer or in the doser.
Depending on how much water you have, put the number of tablets in the skimmer or doser. The number of tablets you need is always mentioned on the chlorine packaging.
Help my chlorine level is too high!
If the chlorine level is too high, there is no chlorine reducer. The only thing you can do is to leave the cover off the pool, so that the chlorine will evaporate faster. Be careful with too much chlorine in the water, it can be harmful!
